For...Anonymous - I wish you would have left a name. For now I will call you "scandalized". (In the mode of a Dear Abby column.)

Dear scandalized,

I skimmed over your comments. It will take me a while to read them fully, and it would take me much longer to answer fully. I don't plan on a full answer, but I'll just give a general reply.

The gist of your comments seems to be that you disagree with the changes in the Catholic Church post Vatican II. Coincidentally I have been reading about people with similar views recently. Some have even left the Church due to their disagreements. I can't tell you how much this saddens me.

I did not personally experience the turbulence created in the Church after Vatican II, since I only really accepted Catholicism recently. From what I understand, there were excesses with regards to the interpretation of Vatican II. This occurred especially among the more "liberal" elements of the Church.

However, there has also been an excess reaction from the "conservative" side as well. Some have even suggested that the Popes after Piux XII are "anti-Popes". You seem to be in that group.

While some of the information you provide above is useful, it is also loaded with disinformation. This seems to be designed to confuse faithful Catholics. Don't you see that in doing this you are doing as much harm to the Church as the anti-Catholics. No, it is not the same type of damage, but the ultimate effect is to weaken the foundation of the Church.

One of the main foundations of the Church is the Papacy. In times like this we need to defend even more the Pope. As we can see by the response from the anti-religious forces in the UK during Pope Benedict XVI's historic visit, the Church is under a more vicious attack than ever.

Divisions within the Church are used by our enemies to split the flock, like a pack of wolves would do in attacking a herd of sheep. Once some of the sheep are separated from the flock, they become easy victims.

The Lord is our shepherd. His Vicar is the Pope. In order to survive through these turbulent times we must remain united.

I think we can be "traditionalist" and still remain members of the same flock. The arms of the Catholic Church reach out widely, like the symbolic "arms" of the Vatican in St. Peter's Square. There is room for a tremendous amount of diversity. How else could the Church encompass so many different cultures around the world? Please try to embrace your fellow Catholics and find a place for yourself inside the Church which is not in direct conflict with Her.

I have faith that all of these things that disturb you will be settled out over time. The turbulence in the Church is caused by the turbulence in the greater society. Like the boat of the disciples in the Sea of Galilee we are sometimes lashed by storms. We need to be patient and know that Jesus will come to calm the waters. Surely you realize from the history of the Catholic Church that She has been through times like this before and has always emerged triumphant.

Our faith is being tested. I have noticed that many times before Jesus performed a miracle, he first tested the faith of the one pleading for it. And afterwards he commented that it was the person's faith that had led to their forgiveness. The True Miracle of the Gospel is that God forgives us for our sins. We shouldn't need any more signs and miracles than that.

Peace be with you,
babaMichaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-55471058290579515312010-09-18T01:17:28.968-04:002010-09-18T01:17:28.968-04:00Thirty Days in the Church and the World Magazine a...Thirty Days in the Church and the World Magazine also had an article in the 1990s where they interviewed the head of the Italian lodges who admitted Angelo Roncalli was initiated into the masonic lodge as a Rosicrucian during his tenure in Turkey. Masons cannot be eligible candidates for the papacy. John Paul II and Ratzinger/B16 have continued the program of imposing masonic ecumenism and syncretism upon an unsuspecting or dumbed down Catholic populace. They tell people of other faiths that they 'worship the same God' which is a bold faced lie - Allah and the idea of God that the Talmudic based religion of Jewry follow is NOT the Holy trinity. I have had to conclude as many other Catholics who have chosen to keep the faith in our homes as Cardinal Manning and others predicted that Our Lady of LaSallette was correct in saying Rome would lose the faith and become the seat of Antichrist and the Church would be in eclipse. This Vatican II church is the Church of darkness as described by the incorrupt Anne Catherine Emmerich. You need to do research on this and open your eyes into what is going on. My 'Catholic' educated niece told me she does NOT believe in the church dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus which many popes proclaimed infallible BEFORE Vatican II. Either they were right or these post V2 'popes' are right. They can't both be right.

Also, Charles Webster Leadbetter, theosophist and friend of luciferians Alice Bailey and co, predicted the novus ordo missae or mass of the new order in his book The Science of the Sacraments, and this was also predicted in the Catholic Rev. E. Sylvester Berry's book The Apocalypse of St. John where he said that Antichrist would set up the false prophet as a kind of antipope in Rome during the vacancy of the papal chair and that this false prophet would impose an invalid mass closely resembling the real one, but which would lack grace. This goes along with what Jesus told Anna Catherine Emmerich about the new mass being Babel (see Yves Dupont's Catholic Prophecy TAN books) and that He would bless those who wanted to receive Him but that they would be receiving only bread.

Leo XIII's long prayer to St. Michael when he heard that conversation between God and the devil includes this reference to the usurpation of the papal chair by masonic antipopes and the vacancy:
In the Holy Place Itself, where is set up the See of the Most Holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the Light of the World, They have Raised the Throne of Their Abominable Impiety with the Iniquitous Design so that when the pastor is Struck, the Sheep may be scattered.

Catholics before Vatican II were UNITED in their faith - we had no divisions of 'liberal, modernist, conservative, traditionalist, sedevacantist,' etc. God has put many well informed Catholics in my way since deciding this had to be so, and we are suffering the same division issues that the protestants did when they left Peter - which to me is more evidence that these fellows since John 23 have not been real popes. They cannot with competency and authority deny what has gone before; and the tactic of the modernist has always been to say something orthodox sounding next to something blatantly heretical - or if you doubt this, read what Pope St. Pius X, incorrupt, had to say on the subject. When I pointed this out on a catholic blog years ago when I decided they had to be antipopes, and was getting flamed by the other pro novus ordo 'popes' members (never mind that if I had been a protestant heretic I would have been more than welcome there) one honest person wrote me and said, yes, these Vatican II popes do contradict what went before, but that is because truth is evolutionary, not absolute, to which I replied, not with the God I believe in. This subject was also covered in Edward Stourton's book Absolute Truth, by the way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-46002408567273726602010-09-18T01:13:24.931-04:002010-09-18T01:13:24.931-04:00I went recently and looked at the paper again on t...I went recently and looked at the paper again on the vatican's website and saw that in the footnotes Ratzinger also called into question the infallibility of the Church's canon of the Old Testament, seeming to agree with the Protestant version of said canon, and leaning towards their opinion that those books should be considered Apocrypha:

(30) Jews count 24 books in their Bible, called TaNaK, a word formed from the initials of Tôr

1) The Catholic Church accepts 46 books in its Old Testament canon, 39 protocanonical books

and 7 deuterocanonical, so called because the former were accepted with little or no debate,

while the latter (Sirach, Baruch, Tobit, Judith, Wisdom 1,2 Maccabees and parts of Esther and

Daniel) were accepted only after centuries of hesitation (on the part of certain Eastern Church

Fathers as well as Jerome); the Churches of the Reformation call these "Apocrypha".

I also saw that he blatantly denies the traditional teaching that the CHURCH IS the New Israel

(305) The New Testament never calls the Church "the new Israel". In Ga 6:14 "the Israel of

God" very likely designates Jews who believe in Christ Jesus.

(and this is much exploited by Christian zionists today who want to help rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, said temple which was destroyed for the 'chosen' not accepting Jesus as their Messiah the first time around, and which, when Julian the apostate attempted to rebuild, God destroyed with lightning from the heavens and boulders of fire which came up and destroyed the new foundation stones that were being laid, and which also emblazoned crosses on the clothing of those who were not killed when God so destroyed Julian's attempt at rebuilding - crosses on these Jewish workers which could not be washed out - see the Rev. Leo Haydock's New Testament comments on his version of the Douay Rheims bible on Matthew 24:2 or the article on St. Cyril of Jerusalem in the Butler's lives of the Saints reprint by St. Bonaventure press.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-65892151928444497352010-09-18T01:11:38.295-04:002010-09-18T01:11:38.295-04:00I like your site a lot, Baba, and am glad you deci...I like your site a lot, Baba, and am glad you decided to be a Catholic; however, I, as a lifelong Catholic brought up by two well educated parents taught well by Jesuits before Vatican II was constantly looking from the time of my youth (1964) for Catholic churches that actually WERE Catholic. My parents went through a metamorphosis of reading more and more conservative papers, from the National Catholic Register, to the Wanderer, to the Remnant, to Catholic Family News. We were forever scandalized by the sight of clerics who were not behaving as we knew Catholic clergy should behave. I heard numerous sermons in churches, post Vatican II, where the priest said that the nativity story was made up by the early Christians to explain how Jesus was born, and numerous sermons saying that Jesus did not realize that He was God until the Transfiguration, amongst other blatantly heretical statements. I saw priests who would refuse communion to parishoners that were present at pro abortion rallys, but who would happily give communion to parishoners that were exposed living the homosexual lifestyle.
My good friend, Fr. Eugene Heidt, now deceased, had his parish taken away from him shortly after his parishoners had just rebuilt his rectory. He petitioned then Archbishop of Oregon, William Levada to have a sabbatical to study the encyclicals of the past 100 years and was flatly refused. The Archbishop's reply to faithful, orthodox Fr. Heidt? "Everything before Vatican II was garbage."
I was brought up to believe in the dogmatic, binding on the Catholic conscience forever councils of Trent and all that went before Vatican II. I have seen the Vatican II papal occupants overturn said councils, which, in my opinion, they had no authority or competency to do so. I have seen a mass implemented on the faithful that was written by 6 protestant ministers who do NOT believe in transubstantiation and two Jewish rabbis who do not accept Christ as their Messiah. I have seen the current papal occupant during his tenure under your 'fave' John Paul II position as head of what used to constitute the Holy Office write an abominable paper entitled The Hebrew People and Their Holy Scriptures in which Ratzinger not only blatantly told the Jewish people that Jesus was NOT their Messiah and that they were ok to wait for another, but said that this would be the second coming for Christians and would NOT be the same Jesus (Jesus the same, yesterday, today and forever) but only a 'being with only traces or traits of that first Jesus who came and is present and active amongst us" as one news story of the time quoted it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-13286731831968585812010-05-27T13:40:36.995-04:002010-05-27T13:40:36.995-04:00SWW - To me the Holy Spirit is a constant presence...SWW - To me the Holy Spirit is a constant presence in my life. It is my constant guide and adviser. It is my friend that is always with me. It is the source of my strength and the One the directs my actions. As I am typing out these words, I am asking the Holy Spirit to speak through me.

Today we have Google to translate languages. We don't need the Holy Spirit to do that for us. :) But we do need the Holy Spirit to be able to discern between the forces of God, and the forces of Evil that surround us.

It's interesting though that in the Bible the advent of different languages is associated with the Tower of Babel (not baba) which is associated with Babylon (Babel-on).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel

And well that's interesting because of the connection between Babylon and the cult of Ishtar which I began writing about with regards to Miley Cyrus. But which I have now begun to connect more broadly with Lucifer and Prometheus and the whole Freemason-Gnostic belief system which has slowly crept into society like a choking vine (or a snake).

It is also very interesting that at Pentecost the Apostles of Jesus were immediately able to "speak in tongues" as soon as the Holy Spirit descended upon them. It's funny that some of those who heard this said that "they have had too much new wine." And that St. Peter was forced to reply that "these people are not drunk... for it is only nine in the morning."
http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/acts/acts2.htm
This is interesting to me because lately I feel almost as if I were "high" with the energy I have been blessed to receive.

The Catholic Encyclopedia has an in depth article on the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). Catholic teaching tends to focus on the "seven gifts" of the Holy Spirit - wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear.
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07409a.htm
But the article also talks about nine "charismata". It does however say that these were more common in the "Apostolic Age".

P.S. I assume you noticed that I'm using as my icon the symbol of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-32074834448897042012010-05-27T09:08:08.460-04:002010-05-27T09:08:08.460-04:00Hey Baba,

It is so true!

Currently I am being shaped by quite a bit of chocolate :) but that is beside my point.

I know that when you hear tongues, it may be perceived as gibberish, but when it is a true gift, it a direct language to God.

It is like being in a foreign country and hearing someone speak English, or a love language with your hubby. Only the person who it is meant for understands it.

During your retreat, ask to be blessed with the release of tongues and discernment of tongues.

Looking forward to your next...and Happy decluttering!

SWWAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-9829054054606436572010-05-27T08:49:11.603-04:002010-05-27T08:49:11.603-04:00SWW - Thanks for the suggestion. I'm planning on going on some sort of Catholic retreat in the next few months.

Regarding the charismatic style, I could not help but thinking that some of the "speaking in tongues" was just gibberish. And I can't see how this could possibly help with inviting the Holy Spirit into our lives.

As you know, I recently had an experience with the Holy Spirit at Catholic Mass, but it was not a charismatic service. Although, as it turns out the priest (actually a deacon) that performed the Mass is an advocate of the charismatic style.

The reason I have taken a break from Public Vigil over the last few days is because I felt the guidance of the Holy Spirit telling me that I need to do some "spring cleaning". I have been busy getting out the old clutter around the house and working on the yard. I have also been taking better care of myself in terms of diet and hygiene.

Now that I have the Holy Spirit living in me, I want to give to It the best possible abode. It is kind of like when you want to look your best to impress a date, only in this case I'm doing it for a much higher cause. :)

So don't worry. I'm still full of the power and energy of the Spirit which has been driving this blog, it's just that I've been focusing that energy in a different direction.

I'm hoping to publish a new article today. It's already written for the most part. It's just that I was thinking of adding something about Fatima (see comment above) to the article, and it's been a while since I have read about the miracle of 1917 and the associated vision and prophecies. So I wasn't quite sure if it would be appropriate or not. And also, if I'm going to cover the topic of Fatima then I want to give it the full justice it deserves.

In my mind, I associate the apparition of the Virgin Mary at Fatima with the apparition at Lourdes. And sometimes I get them confused or mixed together. But in a good way I hope.

SWW, I hope you do take advantage this summer to go on a religious retreat or take a seminar. Maybe this can be a new kind of "summer of love". Not like the one in 1969 when Woodstock took place, which was a profane type of "love". But one in which the True Love of our Lord Jesus Christ is invoked and - like the miracle of the bread and the fishes - is multiplied.

With God all things are possible,
babaMichaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-54294950011133531162010-05-27T07:50:05.956-04:002010-05-27T07:50:05.956-04:00Hey Baba,

If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."

Pope John Paul II consecrated Russia to the Virgin Mary in 1982, exactly a year after he was shot in an assassination attempt. But because of some confusion he re-consecrated Russia and the World to the Virgin Mary in 1984. In the last supper Jesus told his desciples 'this is my body, broken for you. do this in rememberance of me'. Communinion is an act of remembering that Jesus' blood was spilled and his flesh was broken for us. but nowhwere did he say that 'I will dwell in you when you do this'.
In the book of John chapter 14 verse 16-20, and 15:26 Jesus was telling his disciples that when he leaves, he will send the 'Comforter', that is, the Holy Ghost. As I know you know, that comforter came on the day of Pentecost. In Acts 2, we see that it came as a 'sound of a mighty rushing wind' and the people began to 'speak with other tongues'. (vs 4).
I guess what I am trying to say is that we can see that in the Bible, nowhere did they receive the Holy Ghost through communion.
I know many say that people spoke in tongues only in that day. but in Acts chapter 10:46, which was 8 years after pentecost, when the Italian general and his family received the Holy Ghost, they also spoke 'with tongues'. And even 22 years after the day of pentecost, in Acts 19:2-6, when "the Holy Ghost came on them, they spake with tongues, and prophesied".
So you see, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of trueth, didnt come through the act of communion. communion is what Jesus said we should do to remember what he did for us. And although many people think it;'s weired, (just as the people in the day of pentecost thought), the Bible never said that we will no longer speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues is 'evidence' that we do indeed have the Spirit of trueth in us. And people, including myself, speak in tongues even today.

Now I know you are Catholic, and I am not trying to disrespect you or your beliefs. I just wanted to let you know.

If you sincerely kneel down and pray, repent (as we all sin everyday!), and then ask God to fill you, just like he filled the people on the day of pentecost, then he will.
Like I said, I just wanted to share this with you. I love you and what you do here, and I truely believe that God is using you and showing you signs that we as ordinary people wont know. But please consider the words of this message. I use a 'King James' version of the Bible, cause that is the closest interpretation to the Hebrew/Greek text. Have a look at the verses, and see how they are said there.

Like I said, I know you are Catholic, I am an Apostolic. But this is not about religion or denomination, this is about the Word of God.

I hope you read this with an open heart, and dont be offended.

I greet you and Love you with the love of Christ.
Take carexAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-61606918697642380362010-05-19T13:35:15.573-04:002010-05-19T13:35:15.573-04:00Lenci - Four years ago, I thought I was a "go...Lenci - Four years ago, I thought I was a "good" person. I know that so many of us are too busy with our everyday lives to take the time to look into these issues. I have been fortunate to have some time off to dedicate to investigating how the corporate media is undermining the morals of our children. And it seems like every time I turn over a new stone, I find another snake.

The backlash is coming. We just have to be sure that it is a legitimate backlash and not a staged one. An example of a staged backlash is the furor over Gay Days at Disney. The implication is that Disney is otherwise a family friendly corporation. Not true. The message should be more anti-Disney, and less anti-gay. The whole anti-gay part of the message is a red herring designed to divert attention from Disney's other issues.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-41841755005077161542010-05-18T06:19:40.708-04:002010-05-18T06:19:40.708-04:00bless you!

I came upon the...Ride - Thanks for your kind words. I came upon the prayer to the Archangel St. Michael quite by accident just in the last few days. I was so struck by it, that I wanted to know its origins. I was quite surprised to discover the events that surrounded its inception.

Even more surprising is the similarity with my own "vision" of St. Michael which I elaborated on in the article titled, "Agnostica Eugenica Transhumana - A Dragon's tail". If you read the comments, you'll see that I had very little knowledge of St. Michael before writing it. I had actually meant to use St. George, and it was only after I started searching for images of St. Michael for the article that I realized my confusion. But of course it all worked out because St. Michael was also a type of "dragon slayer".

What also struck me was the date of the vision of Pope Leo XIII. It was 1884. In my article, I describe St. Michael taking me back to 1883 to see Galton - the founder of eugenics - feeding a dragon. The significance of 1883 is that this was the year that Galton invented the term "eugenics".

So I can't help but feel that the Pope's vision was related to this new threat. Eugenics is a particularly potent and pernicious form of gnosticism. Perhaps we'll never know how many babies have been aborted due to the influence of the eugenics movement on society. This is nothing short of infanticide and it is directed mainly at the poor around the world. (I can't help but be reminded of "the slaughter of the innocents" at the time of the birth of Christ.)

Pope Leo XIII along with Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II have emphasized to Catholics the importance of praying the Holy Rosary.

Pope Leo XIIi made the following statement in 1894 while urging Catholics to pray the Rosary. In it you can see the attacks by the Gnostics of that time against Christianity. We are seeing the same attacks happening today.

http://www.newadvent.org/library/docs_le13is.htm
***
Amongst so many causes of grief to all good men, and to Ourself, not the least is this, that in the very midst of Catholic nations there exist persons who are ever ready to rejoice in that which insults and outrages our august religion; and that they themselves, with incredible effrontery and with all publicity, seize every opportunity of teaching the multitude to hold reverend things in contempt and of persuading them from their old confidence in the intercession of the Blessed Virgin. During the last months the very person of Our Divine Redeemer has not been spared. Such a depth of shameless indignity has been reached that Jesus Christ Himself has been dragged upon the stage of a theater often contaminated with corruptions, and has been represented there discrowned of that Divinity upon which rests the whole work of human salvation. And the last touch of shame was added in an attempt to rescue from the execration of ages the guilty name of him [Lucifer] who was the very sign of perfidy, the betrayer of Christ.
***Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-62460492907422052832010-05-17T20:42:45.402-04:002010-05-17T20:42:45.402-04:00What an interesting last comment baba, I think dre...What an interesting last comment baba, I think dreams can be in occasions very telling.
Thank you for all your work.Ridenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-40991558010547893442010-05-17T12:39:50.467-04:002010-05-17T12:39:50.467-04:00Cheryl - I will assume that you are a Christian. A...Cheryl - I will assume that you are a Christian. And by that I mean that you have allowed Christ to abide in you. That is what we do when we take Holy Communion. We allow Christ to enter into our bodies and take control of our lives.

So when you say "a bigger more sinister organization", I assume you are referring to demonic forces. And even if that is not what you intended, I will answer as if it was.

The forces of evil have been at work since before Jesus Christ came to live among us over two thousand years ago. Therefore as soon as Christ appeared they began to attack Him and consequently the Christian Church. Today is no different.

As I discussed in this article, some of those forces are the Freemasons and the Gnostics. I have concluded that Disney was a gnostic believer from everything I have learned about him, and from the values that he promoted.

The Gnostic cult is particularly diabolical because it pretends to accept most of the teachings of Christianity. It provides distorted interpretations of the Bible and Christ's teachings. But behind it all, is the same old cult of Ishtar which engages in ritualistic sexual worship. You can see clear examples of this in the recent videos by Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera.

The real revelation for me has been that it's not that Disney Studios went bad after the death of Walt Disney. It was bad from the beginning - all the way to the core. As the gnostic agenda is progressively adopted by society, the message gets turned up a notch. That is what you are seeing now. But this is still not the end.

The good news is that there is a real opportunity here because at this stage of their agenda they are forced to expose themselves like never before. As more people become aware of their satanic plans, my hope is that there will be a counter reaction that once more will unleash the forces of Christianity agains the satanic forces. Still, this will not be easily done after so many years of indoctrination by Disney and others.

Peace be with you,
baba

=========

In 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a vision. In it he saw a confrontation between Jesus and Satan.
http://www.rosaryworkshop.com/PRAYER-St-Michael.html

***
Satan told Jesus if given time and enough power, he would destroy the Church. Jesus asked in return, 'How much time and how much power?' Satan's reply was one century and more influence over those who would follow him. The Holy Father said he heard Jesus say "So be it."
***

In response the Pope ordered this prayer to the Archangel St. Michael be said after every Mass.

"Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the battle. Be our protection against the malice and snares of the Devil. We humbly beseech God to command him. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the powers of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls."Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-53158085793646543842010-05-17T11:20:54.695-04:002010-05-17T11:20:54.695-04:00Thank you. I've been reading articles here and on Vigilant Citizen and I'm confused about exactly who is behind the images and agenda. If the artists are puppets, is it the media companies or a bigger more sinister organization? Are the artists aware of what they are doing or is it just the price of fame?Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15305621900390501808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-21526623111496108682010-05-15T07:43:01.145-04:002010-05-15T07:43:01.145-04:00Lenci - I was just re-reading this article. The gnostics beliefs involved the role of the Elohim, which some people interpret as aliens. The "aliens" of Hubbard may actually be a symbolic reference to the Elohim.

The Wikipedia article on Scientology mentions three times that some beliefs of Scientology bear resemblance to gnosticism. But what do they know?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology
<< The material contained in the OT levels [higher levels of initiation] has been characterized as bad science fiction by critics, while others claim it bears structural similarities to gnostic thought and ancient Hindu myths of creation and cosmic struggle. >>

Scientology like all "secret societies" reveals one "truth" to outsiders (exoteric), and another "truth" to insiders (esoteric). I have no interest in spending the time to learn about the esoteric teachings of Scientology. I merely suggest that like in Freemasonry, only the top level insiders (33rd degree?) are privy to the true nature of their religion. Why don't you ask these questions you have to John Travolta or Tom Cruise?

(Here's a list of some Scientology celebrities. Notice Lisa Marie Presley - the daughter of Elvis Presley and former wife of Michael Jackson.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Scientologists

And again with the Disney castle, you seem willing to accept the literal interpretation of its origins offered up by Disney itself instead of digging deeper into its symbolic significance. Just use your own eyes and look at the spire that rises above it and you can see clearly the resemblance to a church steeple. It really doesn't take much imagination, you just have to be willing to accept what your eyes see - instead of what your mind has been told by the corporate media.

Religion (as I have said before) does not seek to be an antagonist to science, it merely demands that moral bounds be placed on science. You certainly wouldn't want to live in a world in which any type of scientific experiment would be permissible - no matter the consequences to human life.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-41753187956709686692010-05-14T21:15:57.235-04:002010-05-14T21:15:57.235-04:00"As I mention above, there is a strange relat..."As I mention above, there is a strange relationship between these gnostic cults (Scientology, Freemason, etc.) and science. "

Again: I take issue with labeling CoS a "gnostic cult". For starters, there are no aliens in Gnosticism. Gnosticism has a long philosophical tradition and philosophical basis of CoS is, well, not so much developed. Also, CoS is not a neo-pagan cult, by a commonly used definition of neo-paganism (pagans basically worship nature, CoS doesn't). So CoS is quite a unique idea.

"Russia has refused to recognize Scientology as a religion."

I am not aware of this, but I am aware of the situation in Germany. Probably the following (from Wikipedia) applies to Russia as well:

"The German government considers Scientology "an organization pursuing commercial interests". Scientology is not classified as a non-profit organization in Germany, [...] The German embassy in Washington has said that the German government believed Scientology's "pseudo-scientific courses can seriously jeopardise individuals' mental and physical health, and that it exploits its members."

Note the word PSEUDO-scientific. All the CoS has to do with science is 5 letters in the name.

"They use science as a "shield" to hide behind as they attack religion."

Only because certain churches, which insist on a very literal reading of the Scripture, are giving them free ammunition.

"Now that I look at the Disney Castle, it does look like a church - doesn't it?"

It's actually modeled after a German castle named Neuschwanstein.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7519955364880984061.post-5335198783726104132010-05-14T16:13:59.720-04:002010-05-14T16:13:59.720-04:00Lenci - Now that I look at the Disney Castle, it d...Lenci - Now that I look at the Disney Castle, it does look like a church - doesn't it?

Your daughter asks a good question about Pluto and Goofy. That always confused me as a kid too. There must be something behind it.

I think at a certain age, It's probably OK to deal in fairy tales. It's as kids get a little older and they stop believing in fairy tales, but begin to believe in magic that I would get more concerned. So you probably want to start weaning her off of that now. And at some point, block that channel. You should give her an age appropriate reason, so that she just doesn't go over to her friends house and binges on Disney Channel shows.

I don't pay too much attention to some of the more radical MK theories. There's just too much disinformation out there and there's no way to prove it one way or the other. It's like trying to prove that aliens have visited the Earth. It's just not worth pursuing.

I can't believe that Hannah Montana is going to run for another season. If Disney wasn't in on the whole "deception" then they would have canceled her show after the release of the "can't be tamed" video.

I think Victoria already mentioned Justin Bieber. I definitely wouldn't suggest buying a big poster and hanging it up in her room. Just don't feed into it like some parents do.

I'm not sure there is anything wrong with the occasional butterfly. We have to reassert control over these symbols. But yes, I see your point.

The Amish have these big debates before adopting any new technology. I think a big one was about zippers. They decided it against it - sticking with buttons instead. Well, you have to draw the line somewhere.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05204113920771985325noreply@blogger.com
