[13] And after they were departed, behold an angel of the Lord appeared in sleep to Joseph, saying: Arise, and take the child and his mother, and fly into Egypt: and be there until I shall tell thee. For it will come to pass that Herod will seek the child to destroy him. [14] Who arose, and took the child and his mother by night, and retired into Egypt: and he was there until the death of Herod: [15] That it might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying: Out of Egypt have I called my son. This account is taken directly from the "Protect The Pope" website. Islamists warn from mosque minarets that Christians must leave Minya before Friday or they will all be killed
Copt twitter sites are reporting that Islamists have today issued warnings from mosque minarets that Christians must leave Minya before Friday or they will all be killed. This follows Christian homes and businesses being marked with black X’s and Muslim ones with red X’s. Mid East Christian News is reporting that Muslims have looted and burned eight houses owned by Copts in the village of Saft el-Laban, Minya.
The Copt twitter sites are characterizing the terror under which they are living in upper Egypt as ethnic cleansing. Coptic Nationalism has tweeted, ‘Seriously, the calls of ethnic cleansing of Copts are being raised right now from the minarets of mosques in z village of Dilja, Upper Egypt.’ The Islamists are ethnically cleansing Coptic Christians from villages in Upper Egypt. The WH spokesperson laughs at that.
This refers to a press briefing by a White House spokesman that made light of the killing of Egyptian Christians:
‘The White House’s deputy press secretary today downplayed Muslim attacks on Christians in Egypt, joking about the savagery that has left at least six Christians dead.
Press secretary Josh Earnest was asked by Fox News’ correspondent, Ed Henry, if President Barack Obama has a “red line” beyond which he would act against Muslim attacks on Egyptian Christians.
“Well, I didn’t bring my red pen out with me today,” Earnest joked.
After making his joke, Earnest said the administration is “outraged… and concerned” about the Muslim attacks on almost 100 churches, monasteries, orphanages and other marked Christian sites. Many Christians’ shops and homes have also been looted and burned by mobs.
But Earnest didn’t name or criticize the attackers, even though he did charge the military with perpetrating “violence… against peaceful protestors.”
Protect the Pope comment: Now that the attention of the world’s media is turned to the alleged chemical attack in Syria, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda will have the media blackout they need to carry out their threat of ethnically cleansing the Christians from the region of Minya. The Christian blogosphere must continue to watch events in Egypt, so that the Islamists know that the world is watching them, and that they will be held accountable for the terror Egypt’s Christians are suffering at their hands.
