And Peter remembering, said to him: Rabbi, behold the fig tree, which thou didst curse, is withered away.Even though I had predicted this was coming, it's still a bit of shock to hear that "Pope Francis is Man of the Year". Uh, "person" of the year.
-- Gospel According to Saint Mark 11:21
It must have been his "humility" that swayed the judges.
As I said on November 7:
It's all good news from the Vatican since Bergoglio was elected. And even though the mainstream press is ignoring this Bozo the Clown moment at the Vatican, I'm sure this will seal Bergoglio's being declared "Man of the Year" for 2013 by the world press. No doubt about it -- he is their man in the Vatican.Over at Catholic News Agency (CNA -- which is run by EWTN) the headline reads "Catholics joyful at Pope's 'Person of the Year' recognition". If they think that "Catholics" are "joyful", they should see how "joyful" the anti-Catholics are!
CNA also tells us that he is the third Pope to receive this "honor".
"Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II have also been named Person of the Year, in 1962 and 1994, respectively."... no comment .... what could I possibly add to that...
This is another sign of the times. It is not Bergoglio who is being "honored" by the secular press, it is the "New Church" of Vatican II. Could it possibly be any more clear?
And now... let the scandals begin... because there will be scandals aplenty. Just look... whenever the Church receives such high "honors"... scandals inevitably follow.
What a sad day. How can any "Catholic" be "joyful" at this news?
Last time on the Time cover they called him „The People´s Pope
ReplyDeletehttp://www.elgrandiario.com/internacional/francisco-busca-afianzarse-como-el-papa-de-los-pobres-en-brasil-dice-la-revista-time/
and prior to that
„The New World Pope”
http://www.religionnews.com/2013/03/14/pope-francis-first-day-hints-at-a-change-in-papal-style/
I suppose these are code words and the meaning is: “The communist Pope” and “The New World Order Pope” or “The brave New World Pope”
Hi Martina,
ReplyDeleteYes, well the communist also claim that they are motivated by helping the poor. As Christ says, "there will be poor always"... and it seems there will always be those who exploit the poor in order to push forth their agendas.
After so many years of the communists/humanists/liberals/progressives "helping the poor" what are the results? The poor are used as pawns in one revolution after another. On the one hand they give the poor great illusions of a brighter future and on the other they give the not-so-poor the illusion that they are building a "new kingdom" on Earth which will be a "new paradise".
And the not-so-subtle part of the message is that we don't need God to create this "new paradise" -- Man can do it on his own.
And always those who oppose this vision of a "new paradise" are ruthlessly crushed by the revolutionaries.
And now Bergoglio wants to enlist the Church in support of these revolutionaries. And in so doing he will destroy the Church, because what is the Church without God?
No, he cannot completely destroy the Church but he can lay Her in ruins -- as we have already seen over the course of 50 years.
And the poor will suffer even more while the extermination campaign of hunger, contraception and abortion accelerates with the help of the Church. Despite Bergoglio's fine sounding words this is what will happen.
Bergoglio's "pastoral" approach is all about "action" rather than words. Ignore the words, follow the "actions". Watch the effect and follow it back to the cause.
When the Church abandons God, that is the root cause of all the unnecessary evil and suffering in the world.
Yours in Christ,
Michael
Hello Michael, you are right. "He can lay Her in ruins." I think he already has.
ReplyDeleteLGTB people also agree: best pope ever:

Hello Martina,
ReplyDeleteYes, another "sign of the times" -- the Pope on the cover of a anti-Catholic magazine for homosexuals. He is their "Person of the Year" no less.
As you have said before, it seems the anti-Catholics understand Bergoglio much better than the Catholics. They understand exactly what he is saying and what his message is to the world.
How much longer can "conservative Catholics" deny the direction that Bergoglio is leading the Church?
Yours in Christ,
Michael
Hello Michael,
ReplyDeleteI think those "conservative Catholics" will always find an excuse.
And I learned that they can be very rude in defending their worldview (or better: popeview).
Blogger Tantamergo sometimes writes about how he was rebuked again.
His quote ( in the commentary section):
"To try to say that this Pope does not have an ideological agenda is to me amazing, but I’ve been told that, in very rude terms, last night, offline. I think you have to be blind not to see what is developing."

Dear Martina,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are wrong about the conservative Catholics. It seems to me that some of them are beginning to see "the writing on the wall". For example Deacon Nick Donnelly at ProtectThePope has written his first article that is openly critical of Bergoglio:
http://protectthepope.com/?p=9467
The title of the article is "Is Pope Francis’ close aide Msgr. Fabiàn Pedacchio Leaniz the real power behind the Congregation for Bishops?" Msgr. Fabiàn Pedacchio Leaniz is rumored to be part of the "gay Lobby" in the Vatican and is a secretary for Bergoglio.
BTW, "the writing on the wall" in the 5th Chapter of the Prophecy Of Daniel says:
MANE: God hath numbered thy kingdom, and hath finished it.
THECEL: thou art weighed in the balance, and art found wanting.
PHARES: thy kingdom is divided, and is given to the Medes and Persians.
Could this also apply to Bergoglio? Are his days numbered? He has certainly already been "found wanting" and he has already "divided the kingdom".
Yours in Christ,
Michael
Dear Michael,
ReplyDeleteI wish I were wrong, too.I hope you are right, I hope they all wake up better late than never.
And I hope all the priests and bishops in the Vatican will wake up, too. The Doctor of the Church St. Alphonsus de Liguori condemms in strong terms a behaviour like theirs.
