Prayer of the Angel of Peace of Fatima

"Do not fear. I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me."

The Angel knelt on the ground. He bent forward until his forehead touched the dirt.
My God,
I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love you!
I beg forgiveness for those who do not believe,
do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.

My God,
I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love you!
I beg forgiveness for those who do not believe,
do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.

My God,
I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love you!
I beg forgiveness for those who do not believe,
do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.
The dazed, kneeling children repeated the words after him. From that moment on the children could never forget these words. Nor would they ever wish to.

The Angel rose and said, "Pray thus. The hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications."

After he said this he dissolved into the sunlight of the early afternoon.

  1. A friend lent me his copy of the book "Fatima in Sr. Lucy's own Words." I find the life of Bl. Jacinta, which she recounts, very edifying. Even the smallest thing she would sacrifice for the conversion of sinners. The smallest acts of sacrifice, done out of love, are most pleasing to God. Let us try to follow her example.

  2. Reading the back cover of "Cleansing Fire" I was struck by how prescient were the words of the Blessed Virgin to Sister Agenes "..cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops." That is basically what we have now with just regards to same sex marriage.

    Our Lady of Akita,
    pray for us!

  3. Anon. I have begun a devotion to Blessed Jacinta. I have asked her to watch over my daughter and guide her to the path of Jesus. Before meals, I pray the Lord's prayer followed by the Fatima prayer for the souls in purgatory. (..."lead all souls to heaven...") How many souls in purgatory have no one to pray for them?

Jacinta Marto was about 7 at the time of the first apparitions and died at the age of 9 after falling ill and suffering greatly. She always offered this suffering to save souls from going to hell.

When I first read about some of the acts of sacrifice of Jacinta at such a young age I didn't believe it. I thought it was impossible. I had to verify the information from various sources before I could accept it.

I wrote an article which contains some saintly quotes from Jacinta:
    Our Lady of Fatima

If children in school were taught about the lives of the Saints it would change the world. Instead we and our children are offered as heroes to worship and emulate the champions of secular humanism. Think about the writers that are promoted in the school system and their "liberal" ideas. The school curriculum guides our children along the path to agnosticism. Its no wonder they/we abandon the Church by the time they are done high school.

JACINTA: "Are you praying with me? It is necessary to pray much to save souls from hell!... How sorry I am for sinners! If I could only show them hell!"

Yes, Jacinta, I am praying with you. Pray for us sinners, Jacinta.

  4. Anon. I also wrote a short article about Japan after the tsunami. I featured a beautiful picture of Our Lady of Akita:
    Pray for Japan

Also, here is a link to an excellent article on Our Lady of Akita:
Hoy Mother of Akita (Our Lady of Tears)

"bishops against bishops"... I just read that at one point a diocese in California sued the diocese of Boston because they had transferred a priest that was a known sexual molester there. It was the first time this had ever happened.

What particularly struck me about this book is that there is a section on the apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Garabandal (1961-1965). This is particularly controversial because the message of the Virgin speaks of fallen priests and bishops:
"many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are following the road to perdition."

  5. Thanks for the links. I find the Garabandal apparitions very interesting. Though the message in general is pretty much the same as the other genuine apparitions (pray the rosary, the Lord is already too much offended, coming punishment, etc), the mention of the Warning/Miracle of the Illumination of All Consciences is unique.

  6. Anon. I haven't written a post about Garabandal because it is not an approved apparition. On the other hand it has not been denounced. The biggest problem is the Warning/Miracle which is a big claim. You can see why the Church wouldn't want to affirm such a prediction. But to say that I am fascinated by the Garabandal apparition is an understatement. I am captivated by the interview with Conchita Gonzalez:
Conchita of Garabandal interviewed in 1980 in English

Did you know that one of the girls that saw the apparitions at Garabandal is named Jacinta? Her last name is Gonzalez.

Conchita is living in New York. (At least that is the last information I have seen.) Can you imagine what she must be thinking when she sees "homosexual marriage" becoming legal? She says the sign will be like a rainbow. You can see it, but you can't touch it. When asked what she wants for the rest of her life, she says "Love God, and to do His will."

  7. Yes, fascinating interview! I would not write off Garabandal simply on account of the doubts she experienced. It seems that Conchita is no different from other visionaries. From the comments section of http://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2009/12/sister-josefa-menendez-way-of-divine.html :

"I have read in the lives of several Saints where the devil sought with a hellish vengence to convince the saint that their visions were not real, causing them periosds of uncertainty...it is a horrible temptation and trial that we can only imagine."

Of course, this is all conjecture at this point. However, what Garabandal has in support of it is Padre Pio's approval.

*Yes, I thought the same thing when I found out she was living in NY!

  8. Well, thanks to your encouragement I have posted a short article on Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at Garabandal. I let the videos speak for themselves since I think they are so powerful.

I have seen the interview of Joey with Mother Theresa where he says that Padre Pio told him to go visit Garabandal. The whole story is quite amazing. I don't quite know what to believe, but I try to keep an open mind and heart.
