Just in case you think the transhuman/eugenics agenda is a joke and LVB and I are just making this stuff up, take a look at this!
I came across this transhuman conference scheduled for Harvard in June 2010.
The H+ Summit is a two day event that explores how humanity will be radically changed by technology in the near future. Visionary speakers will explore the potential of technology to modify your body, mind, life, and world. They like to use the term H+ these days, but this is just another in a series of name changes for the eugenics movement like "social biology".
What will it mean to be a human in this next phase of technological development? How can we prepare now for coming changes?
We foresee the feasibility of redesigning the human condition and overcoming such constraints as the inevitability of aging, limitations on human and artificial intellects, unchosen psychology, lack of resources, and our confinement to the planet earth. The possibilities are broad and exciting. The H+ Summit will provide a venue to discuss these future scenarios and to hear exciting presentations by the leaders of the ongoing H+ (r)evolution.
They keep changing the name, but the agenda remains the same. A better term for the transhuman movement is more like Eugenics 2.0, because the term "transhuman" was created by Julian Huxley who was a leader of the eugenics movement. Naturally they want to disassociate themselves from the term transhuman, which has such strong ties to eugenics. In this way they can cover up the true nature of their agenda from an unsuspecting public.
The program is sponsored by a group called "Humanity+". And here is one of their campaigns.
Campaign for the Rights of the PersonTalk about double-speak. "Rights of the person" is really rights of the non-person. It's rights for robots and cyborgs. This is the right to become a cyborg, with no right to remain human.
A campaign to modify national laws and international human rights conventions to establish
(a) that bodily autonomy, reproductive rights, and cognitive liberty should be explicitly recognized and protected,
(b) that universal access to enabling technologies is a right in itself, and a precondition for all other rights, and that
(c) personhood, sentience, and capacity for having morally relevant interests are the bases of rights-bearing, not humanness or the human genome.
(a) Expanded access to reproductive health technologies (contraception, fertility, prenatal testing, abortion, and germinal choice).
(b) Liberalized psychoactive drug laws, and support for research into cognitive enhancement technologies, vaccines and treatments for substance dependence, and safer psychoactive substances.
(c) Extension of human-level rights protections to great apes.
And Christina Aguilera just happens to come out with a Bionic album around the same time. This is one hell of a PR campaign that they are engaged in.
I just wonder who ultimately is behind all this? Maybe this is a clue.
Notice that they advocate for the use of "psychoactive drugs". I guess nothing has changed since the 1950s and 60s. Back then transhumanist/eugenicist Aldous Huxley advocated the use of LSD. What does that have to do with transhumanism you say? It's a way to pacify the population just as Aldous predicted in his book "Brave New World" which came out in 1932.
This conference includes the usual cast of shady characters including Ray Kurzweil as the keynote speaker. When Kurzweil started off, his message was just the "technological singularity". His hidden agenda was transhumanism/eugenics all along. He was the one sent by the transhuman cult to convert the scientists and engineers.
They also have already begun organizing a group of "shock troops" to harass people like us that oppose their agenda.
Campaign for a Future Friendly CultureMore double-speak. "Future friendly" means a future unfriendly to people that just want to remain human. Notice the use of a derogatory (and de-humanizing) code word for people that oppose them - "bioconservatives". While they want be referred to by the term H+ which puts a nice happy face on their agenda.
A campaign to encourage balanced and constructive portrayals of longevity, human enhancement and emerging technologies in popular culture.
(a) Solicit offensive and counterproductive portrayals of longevity, human enhancement and emerging technologies, and encourage our membership, chapters and allies to dialogue with the authors, producers and distributors.
(b) Increase the sensitivity of culture creators and consumers to the biopolitical messages and bioconservative tropes in popular culture.
(c) Arrange letter-writing, protests, and boycotts of especially offensive films, television programs and books.
(d) Encoruage [sic] and promote transhumanist artists, authors, film-makers, game designers and culture creators.
This "eugenics tree" from the early 1900s says "Eugenics is the self direction of human evolution". The transhuman movement talks about evolution too. And now they have added a few more roots to their tree - like robotics and artificial intelligence. But it's the same old tree, and it has the same old name - "Eugenics". And it has the same old goals that inspired Hitler and Nazi Germany - to create a super-race of god-like men. Only Elites need apply.
