The transhuman temptation

WARNING: Giving in to the transhumanist temptation may be harmful to your spiritual and mental health.

I hope everyone has had a chance to read LVB's article on Imma Bee by Black Eyed Peas. Rather than writing a regular comment, I'm writing an article to highlight some alternative interpretations that I have come up with. I just want to point out up front that I would never have come up with these observations without the stimulus from LVB's article.

First I want to say that my favorite part of his article is the first part where he discusses transhumanism. I think it is ground breaking in the way that it connects the issues of transhumanism and the occult. These seem like such different issues and yet they are appearing together in many of the high budget music videos that have been coming out lately. LVB points out the cult nature of transhumanism itself.

He also strongly makes the historical link between transhumanism and eugenics, which few people are aware of. After reading his article, I now think of transhumanism as Eugenics 2.0.

So let me now give you some of my thoughts on this video. I hope that together our two articles will provide our readers with a broader understanding of the underlying issues.

Imma see the light

I have gone through a few iterations of what I think the subliminal message of this video is. Here is my latest interpretation.

The main theme is Fergie's "conversion" to the transhumanist religion. In the end she comes to accept that AI is the future as Will says in the beginning of the video.

This is portrayed as Fergie "seeing the light" on the "road to Damascus" - except that she is on the road on her motorcycle. Notice that there is never any indication of a crash. She just blacks out and has a transcendental dream. She is "blinded by the light".

In the dream there are two robots - a black one and a white one. The two robots represent two facets of Fergie. The black one represents the old Fergie that is "stuck" in the past. It is always one step behind due to its inferior technology when compared to the white robot.

The black robot looks menacing, but is not actually evil. It is only trying to protect Fergie from the white robot which represents "the future". Notice that the black robot never attempts to harm anyone. He captures Fergie in an attempt to rescue her.

The two robots symbolically battle for control of Fergie in the dance contest. The prize that goes to the winner is Fergie's mind/soul. The black robot loses and "dies".

At the end of the video, the picture fades from the black robot falling to the ground to Fergie lying on the ground. She wakes up from her "vision". She has an ecstatic look on her face. She has come to accept the new transhumanist religion - not based on rational thinking, but as a matter of faith.

Progress is good. Nothing can stop the future.
OR
The future is good. Nothing can stop progress.

While most Christians will associate this "conversion" experience with that of St. Paul on the Road to Damascus, this is not actually the basis of it for the creators of the video. Remember that these people are neo-pagans who consistently demean Christianity. So why would they insert Christian symbolism in their video?

The true source and inspiration for this story line is found in Carl Jung. Please see this article for an elaboration - Carl Jung.
"It is important to note that Jung could not have meant conversion to Christianity, because as far as Jung was concerned all religion is simply myth - a symbolic way of interpreting the life of the psyche. To Jung, conversion simply meant a totally dramatic experience that would profoundly alter a person's outlook on life. Jung himself had blatantly rejected Christianity and turned to idolatry. He replaced God with a myriad of mythological archetypes."
Carl Jung's pseudo-scientific mixture of psychology and new age spiritualism is ideally suited to the transhuman cult. It's strips away the religious doctrine that declares that the body and the soul are one and inseparable which is one of the main ethical barriers to transhumanism. If the body is not a holy temple, then there is no objection to desecrating it in the interest of a new sort of trans-evolution.

Eugenics is based on darwinism and the concept of "survival of the fittest", but this is little different than the old belief in "might makes right" and "an eye for an eye". This is a complete rejection of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and yet this materialistic philosophy has become ever more popular over the past 40 or 50 years. And remember that transhumanism is just Eugenics 2.0. It is a sort of super-darwinism.

If the Kingdom of God is in Heaven, then what need is there for prolonging life artificially for hundreds or thousands of years - or even forever. Is it possible to upload your soul? Is the human mind just a biological computer?

In centuries past, the same scientists that tell us today that we are just computers were telling people that they were just elaborate mechanical machines. They imagined the mind functioning almost like a steam engine with valves to direct the flow of thought. It seems ridiculous today.

How long will people continue to underestimate the complexity of God's creation?
"What a piece of work is man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals!"
- Shakespeare's Hamlet (1600)
When will we finally come to truly appreciate the miracle that is life?

Imma bee the future

Another theme that I think is of primary importance is that the gadget that Will demonstrates is a primitive AI. It's especially important to note that Will describes a primitive method of uploading himself into the AI by saying all the words in the English language into the machine. Also notice the graphic on the AI's screen which is the same robot-face shown on the album cover.

According to the Singularity doctrine, once an AI of sufficient power comes to life then it will spawn a new AI which is smarter than itself, and this process will continue in an exponential fashion. This is what Ray Kurzweil and his followers refer to as the Singularity. In this scenario, the only way for humans to compete is to become AIs themselves. This requires not just modifying the physical being (body), but the mental being (mind) as well. None of this is portrayed in the video. We are only given the "good part" of the message and the "bad part" is purposely left out.

Soul what?

The philosophical basis of this technology is mind/body dualism which can be traced back to RenĂ© Descartes in the 1600s. If only it were so easy to separate the mind from the body, and if only there were not a soul. But what is a soul?
JULIET:
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;--
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title:--Romeo, doff thy name;
And for that name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself.
- Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (1595)
Like a name, the soul is simultaneously the essence of a person, and yet has its own separate existence. It is neither body nor mind, yet infuses both of them. It bridges the physical world and the spiritual world.

Even if it was just a matter of making a copy of the mind, how precise would that copy need to be to capture the soul? After all, no copy is perfect.

And how would we be able to get all the molecules to stand perfectly still in order to take a snapshot? What if the copy was blurred? Not to mention the Heisenberg Principle.

If the goal is simply to create a race of self-replicating robots with some human characteristics, then that is certainly attainable. Or if the goal is to replace some human parts with mechanical parts or genetically engineered parts, then that is also attainable.

But if the goal is to transform humans into god-machines and to still maintain that essential quality that makes us human - our very souls - then we have to go beyond even science fiction and enter into the realm of fantasy. Some things are just not meant to be.

True wisdom comes with the awareness and acceptance of our limitations. Transhumanism is perhaps the modern day apple in the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

It may appear tempting, but to eat from it may very well banish us from this earthly paradise that we have inherited.

  1. Awesome work, baba!

You have made some very profound points about the obvious ethical and moral problems with Transhumanism even more obvious. And it's very important to remember that many supporters of Transhumanist ideas reject all morality and ethical concerns - they don't care about any of that stuff, they find it highly annoying.

They only want what they want...they wanna rock that body RIGHT NOW!!

  3. Great article! "we're not robots!"
I feel like Fergie did at the beginning of the video. Computer chip in your brain anyone? Tempting eh.

Intel: Chips in brains will control computers by 2020

Wow, you should really have put a warning before you put that woman's name down. I watched her new video... advice: DONT haha
Too bad, she's amazingly talented, but obviously a pawn in their over sexualization of woman portrayed in music videos.

  4. Hi Victoria,

Thank you very much for your comment and that article. It is very interesting and disturbing.

The ease with which these people compare carrying a laptop computer or Blackberry to having a chip implanted in your BRAIN is just completely insane!! lol

If you've read my article on Psychological Warfare, you may notice several things going on in what and HOW they are selling this idea:

"The scientists say the plan is not a scene from a sci-fi movie -- Big Brother won't be planting chips in your brain against your will. Researchers expect that consumers will want the freedom they will gain by using the implant."

    So, first, it's not a scene from a sci-fi movie; i.e., it's not a bad thing, relax.

Second, "Big Brother won't be planting chips in your brain against your will." Relax, it's up to you. No, big brother will just be working very hard to deceive, desensitize and condition our subconscious minds (against our will) to accept the flawed ideas that this is what is best for humanity, by manipulating people into believing that it IS our own will that is choosing it.

Third, "Researchers expect that consumers will want the freedom they will gain by using the implant." Note the wording - not "researchers hope..." but "Researchers EXPECT..." that is pure manipulation, using the command-style authority phrase "I expect you to do this or that"...a more subtle and deceptive version of "I demand..." or "I want..."

Next, "consumers will want the freedom they will gain by using the implant."

Now, that's a delightful double bind there. Hey, you want to be FREE, don't you? I mean you'd be stupid not to want FREEDOM, right? We will all be "gaining" something wonderful from getting the implant into our brains, not LOSING something so precious that we cannot even describe it with words.

Oh no, we will be better, faster, smarter...and, of course, the implication there is HAPPIER. :)

The fact that there is so much exposure and desensitization (conditioning) happening in this direction tells us exactly what baba has been saying about Edward Bernays, one of the OG mind-gamers (who was Freud's nephew) His work in creating the entire industry of "public relations" and advertising (which is nothing more than manipulation and deception to sell a product) is being duplicated almost to the letter in these modern efforts to condition the masses - not only to relax and accept these radical and dangerous Transhumanist ideas - but also to make people believe when the time comes, they will actually believe they are choosing what they want, and that it was their idea to want it all along.

There's also cognitive dissonance in that last statement - gaining freedom, by losing the only thing that is really your own - your mind. Also, blurring the line between good and evil; losing is winning, winning is losing, etc.

Thanks again for posting this article. It says so much more than just the fact that Intel is working on some new technology. They are working in partnership with many others to develop an entirely new human being.

  5. Victoria, the article you posted is truly disturbing.

I read it in a state of mild shock. It is sickening beyond belief. Now I can see the true purpose of these videos. No doubt they are receiving funding from Intel and others including big foundations like Rockefeller - even government funding from the military and CIA.

Won't we at least have a public dialogue before this sort of technology is allowed to go further? They are talking about brain chips in just 10 years time. And the article is from last year - Nov 2009

I had heard before about the research they describe regarding the monkey and moths. It is mad scientist type stuff, but its real and is funded through DARPA - US military research. I've been closely following developments in AI like DARPA's Robot Car Challenge.

The only good news I can give you is that in my opinion they have grossly underestimated the problem. Not just from a technological standpoint, but from a sociological one as well.

I can see now how they have been working towards this goal since the end of WWII. There was a team created called the Cybernetics Group. They are sometimes loosely referred to as the "Macy Conferences".
    (See Macy Conferences)

Internally the Cybernetics Group was called the "Man-Machine Project". It operated from 1946-1953. Much of the funding came from the OSS/CIA and was funneled covertly through the Macy Foundation.
    (See Frank Fremont-Smith)

The Cybernetics Group was an interdisciplinary team of scientist including early computer pioneers and experts from the social sciences. You may recognize the names of some members - John Von Neumann and Margaret Mead.

The work almost certainly involved processing data obtained from Nazi experiments as well as newly acquired knowledge from "allied" war research. Some members of this group eventually branched into MKULTRA mind control experiments using LSD.

My guess is that they came to the conclusion that the technology was not available in the 1950s to create an artificial intelligence and the group disbanded. But now, there is a growing consensus that technology is almost at the point of creating a true AI. Estimates range from 20 to 40 years and beyond.

One has to wonder whether the brain implants will eventually be used by the humans to control the computers, or by the computers to control the humans.

  6. Exactly. Once the chip is implanted into one's brain, who is really in control?

Once you allow such an obvious intrusion into your mind, I would see wireless remote commands being fairly easy to do. Hell, they're doing it now, in other, less effective ways, but just imagine what may be possible in 10-20 years.

I would think that once it's in your skull, the difficulty level would be greatly reduced - just send a wireless signal with forced "upgrades", patches, service packs like Microsoft does and you've got a whole new animal - literally.

That's the most disturbing story I've read in awhile...mainly due to what I said previously; how casually these people talk about something as extreme as putting chips in human brains, and selling it, basically, as a really cool wireless mouse/keyboard!! Can't you just imagine the reactions one day soon? "Oh for cryin out loud what's wrong with all these alarmists? It's just a friggin wireless mouse/brain enhancement interface module - you idiots need to shut up. Go read your stupid Bibles or something".

Sound familiar? We should never underestimate the power of Psychological Warfare.

No big deal, this chip won't hurt a bit...until they want it to. And then it's way too late.

  7. Victoria - I wrote a quick post featuring the brainchip article. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

  8. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the article and that I was able to contribute information. This technology sounds ridiculous, but what I find more disturbing is that in ten years, we'll think this is a good thing and beg for it!

Have you seen the documentary "The Century Of The Self?" I think you would love it!

    From Wikipedia:

"Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, changed the perception of the human mind and its workings. His influence on the twentieth century is generally considered profound. The series describes the ways public relations and politicians have utilized Freud's theories during the last 100 years for the "engineering of consent".

The Century of the Self asks deeper questions about the roots and methods of modern consumerism, representative democracy and its implications. It also questions the modern way we see ourselves, the attitude to fashion and superficiality.

  9. Victoria - Yes I have seen "The Century Of The Self". It was an absolute eye opener for me. I watched the whole thing over a period of about two days. You may notice references here or there in my articles or comments regarding Bernays. I got into a brief description of Bernays' techniques in this article.
The "six million dollar" Bionic {Christina Aguilera} Woman

I absolutely agree that Bernays is a key to understanding many of the disturbing trends in modern society. I'm pretty sure he was also a eugenics proponent. Certainly he had fascist tendencies.

There is another character from that time period that is less well known, but was highly influential. Walter Lippmann. He was a newspaper columnists and advocated using propaganda to mold public opinion. He called this the "Manufacture of Consent".

  10. baba, Victoria, Lenci

You guys are all doing awesome work. It gives me great joy to see people thinking for themselves
and questioning the ideas and products that are being sold to us so aggressively.

As Lenci was saying with her several metaphors, this aspect of conditioning is very much like the seduction phase, or foreplay. The major difference, though, is that these people fully intend to go forward with their plans, whether there is consent or not. Much like recent events in US healthcare "reform", they tried and tried to seduce, but in the end, more than 70% of people surveyed did not want the product. So, they just did it anyway, via bribery, extortion and post-event damage control propaganda.

Whichever way it has to go, they really don't care...they just prefer to have willing victims over defiant ones. It looks better that way. And keeping that illusion going is key.

So, regardless of the beauty and charm of the seductive pretense, the goal is the same, and it will not be reversed just because a few silly Christians say "no" to the mind rape.

You could also make a strong case that the use of very sophisticated persuasion in mass media to make the unsuspecting public "want" (or at least tolerate) this mind rape is very similar to the "Roofie" component of date rape...which is obviously the most cowardly and sick form of sexual assault.

They don't really want it to be a "fair fight", or have an honest and open debate on these subjects. They want to sell the illusion of fairness (the false democratization mentioned in my Imma Bee article) as a way of pretending to hear all sides, but make no mistake about it - the final decision has already been made, in the minds of the Elite.

It's only a question of how we get there, and when. We can resist, and I fully intend to.

My small brane makes me reel happy as is. I'll pass on the chips. I do love good salsa, though!

  11. Victoria

You are right on target. If you've learned about Freud and Bernays, and read my article on PsyWar,
you have the blueprint right there for selling any and every idea/product to the masses.

In the case of the brain chips, it has quite obviously already begun.

  12. And, in the case of the BEP's Transhumanist anthem "Rock that Body", it is clearly not so much the body they are concerned with "rocking",
    changing, upgrading...it's our minds.

Because we all know that the mind controls the body. Two birds with one stone.

  13. LVB, I found another blog on MK-Ultra that gives the explanation process in baby steps for those new to the awareness. http://intheknow7.wordpress.com/mk-ultra-monarch-program-basic-info/. Not sure if this is “in tune” with your, baba’s and VC’s expansive knowledge on the subject. Check it out for yourself and give me your take on it when you find the time.

    = = =
“Scientists first discovered that human behavior is transferred from generations through genetic code (DNA) in the blood from the study of the monarch butterfly –multi-generational “bloodline” families transfer their genetic code to their children, carefully selected on the basis of their ability to “dissociate” – meaning how much trauma/torture they can endure, the higher the tolerance, the more “alters” (files) can be created. MK’s have been diagnosed as DID (MPD) having thousands of “alters” (files) each file is a different “persona” to be used by global mgt. team. MK’s have alters (files) for each assigned task, whether it’s using Beta Sex-Slave “cat/kitten” alters to seduce an individual for blackmail, downloading coded intel, assassination, or paraded before the electorate as politicians who care about voters…they will perform the task w/stunning efficiency w/out displaying any emotion –they truly are human robots! “
    = = =

I have to admit that the “human robots” comment stuck out profoundly! The BEP’s video transcends transhumanism as being the mind control of choice by today’s entertainment artists!!!

  14. Hi vaLenciA lol

Thanks for that link. Pretty interesting site there. The Monarch info seems pretty accurate from what I've seen at a quick glance. I will check it out more later.

It definitely has everything to do with genetic heritability of the dissociative abilities, and was at the core of Mengele's sick experiments with twins in WW2 Nazi Germany.

This also has a basis in the early mission of the eite brainchild 'Transhumanism' (Eugenics) as baba and I have found independently.

I'll leave it right there until I can look at it further. Thanks for posting it, good to see you, as always. :)

  15. Great Article Baba!
I understand the black and white robot now
Im with you LVB its great to discuss this with each other

  16. Freeyourmind - Good. I'm glad I could help. It took me quite a while to understand the role of the black robot. The clue was at the end when they cut from the robot to Fergie on the ground. I could see they were hinting at some connection, but I couldn't figure out what it was. The black robot was the old Fergie that dies at the end of the dream, and a new Fergie is born.

Too bad they won't apply this great technology they have to promote anything positive to young people. Just think, if they wanted to, how cool they could make it to be a Christian, or for kids to respect their parents.

It's odd how hidden that message is about the conversion of Fergie to transhumanism. In fact they never actually talk about transhumanism, but you can't miss the giant robots. And Will actually mentions AI, but if you're not paying attention you might miss it.

Still I think they get their message across that in their vision of the future, humans and robots will meld into one. And they make it seem so cooool.

  17. Hmm, "freedom is slavery, war is peace, ignorance is strength"...where have we heard this type of thinking before? I cannot imagine ever allowing anyone to put any chip or other implant in my body, but people do, every day. Plastic surgery is all implants and foreign substances injected and/or implanted in you, and we see how the media has made it mainstream and even normal to want to surgically enhance your looks, so obviously the next logical step is enhancing your "imperfect" brain. I personally don't want any part of any of it, but then again I am a Christian and I am not arrogant enough to think that I can improve on what God gave me. I am so glad that you guys are doing this site, I love Vigilant Citizen and am thrilled that we've got another awesome site to get the real deal from. I cannot begin to say how much my life has changed for the better since i became aware of this stuff, but I am determined that they will not control me. Not now, not ever, and I am glad to know that I am not alone. Just because it's easier to go along does not mean that it's the right thing to do....

  19. kaiserin - You said: "I am a Christian and I am not arrogant enough to think that I can improve on what God gave me."

Exactly. "All is vanity". How often do we see man attempting to improve upon God's work, only to destroy it? We need to show great restraint in applying these technologies. There are times when it may be appropriate for legitimate medical reasons. These should be the exceptions. Just look at what Michael Jackson did to himself in a vain attempt to improve his physical appearance. What will happen if we try to improve our brains and the surgery is not a success or there are unwanted side effects?
